I recently joined I've been wrongly accused by a person who's name shall not be named here of tracing for my art. this is not true, yes i sometimes use pics as reference, that means i study them so i can practice getting a pose right but i don't i repeat DON'T trace the pic by all means. i hate it when people accuse me wrongly of something i didn't do.
Now i can hear some of you say what is the diffrence between peaking and tracing, let me tell you there is a HUGE diffrence.
Peaking for reference simply means that you look at a pics to see how poses work for example, you try sketching difrent poses several times, the first few tries it looks like sh*t i tell ya that haha. But you improve by practising and practising over and over again and your art improves.
tracing is just simply taking a pic, then trace over it in your pretty little drawing program, the pic looks GREAT *><* in an instance, you don't need to practise and your art does not improve at all, even though you might think it is. In a word tracing is stealing, lame and stupid. Don't do it andDON'T ACCUSE PEOPLE OF TRACING WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THE STORY BEHIND THEIR ART OR SUCH.
This stamp is for everyone who agrees with me, haterz take your whining elsewhere.
Feel free to use it and join to support REAL artists who try to improve their art the hard way!
The text does move a little fast (and it's actually spelled "peek" in this context) but other than that, I agree completely! I'm also a member of ~stop-tracing

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
